Dating market is already crowded with tons of new sites launching everyday. From this huge pool, it is really difficult to sort out the good ones with the actual content. From my experience, I can sort out all the dating websites in 5 categories:

1) Sites designed specifically for Adsense and similar programs:

These sites offer little to no quality content. They just display ads and borrow the dating stuff from here and there to display on their website. Majority of the sites fall under this category

2) Free dating sites which have been abandoned long time back due to lack of funds or lack of traffic:

This pool contains the second largest number of dating websites. Most of the websites in this category have antiquated content. The owners of these websites keep the website online so that they can make few bucks out of it.

3) Newcomers (free or paid) with Fake content:

This pool contains the third largest number of dating websites. Next time when you see a hot Russian or Bulgarian female, don’t just take up your credit card and order the subscription. Most of the new dating websites have lot of fake content and sexy photos to woo the initial users.

4) Well Established free dating websites with crappy user interface:

This pool is small but significant. When you think of this pool, the first website that pops up in your mind would be “Plentyoffish.com”. There are lots of other websites with such crappy user interface. These websites are online because of their large user base and thus providing the owners of the website with constant cash flow

5) Well Established Paid dating websites:

Because you are paying for something doesn’t necessarily mean that you are getting quality content. You’ll find lot of articles on the internet showing the use of fake profiles by some top ranked dating websites. These websites are better organized than the rest because of their revenue stream.

Isn’t finding that perfect match a matter of luck? “Do we need to go through all this hassle trying different people on websites to find that perfect one”? Then another question arises, is that guy/girl really perfect for you? You can always find the better one than the one you are with. You’ll always find another one who will make more complete/happy than your current partner. If you disagree, then just answer one question: How many people have you met in your city, region, country, world, etc……. Wouldn’t that be little bit arrogant to say that your current partner is the perfect one and nobody else in this world can make you more complete?
